Wood Essence is very proud to stock Canadian made Boiled Linseed Oil produced from Flax grown and processed right in Saskatchewan. 

This all natural finish from Canada's prairies is cold-pressed from local crops & double-boiled to make one of the most traditional wood finishes for both new work and antique restoration.  It truly is a "Farm to Finish" environmentally friendly product.

Detwiller BLO is 100% Pure Linseed Oil that has been boiled twice for a total of 40 hours.  It is all natural and contains no added driers or chemicals.  This is a solvent free product that is safe and easy to use on all types of projects including food service items.

A traditional wood finish and protectant that has been used for centuries.  References to linseed oil as a surface protectant date back hundreds of years and continue to this day.  Suitable for interior or exterior use.

Directions:  Use on clean sanded, freshly stained or previously oiled surfaces.  Oxidized or greyed wood surfaces should be resanded.  Dispose and store rags or tools safely to prevent spontaneous cumbustion!

Interior Surfaces:  Apply a thin coat of oil with a brush or roller. Allow 15 minutes for absorption then wipe off excess with a rag and buff well. Additional coats may be applied after 24 hours.

Exterior Surfaces:  Apply when the weather is expected to be dry in the following days. It may take up to 7 days to cure.  Japan drier may be added at 8 mL per litre of oil (30 ml per 3.78L) to improve drying performance in cool or damp conditions.
