Solarez Brushable "I Can't Believe It's Not Lacquer"

Solarez I Can’t Believe It’s Not Lacquer (ICBNL) is a low-VOC, green-technology resin that cures rapidly under UV light—either sunlight or artificial UV (385nm). Non-flammable and low-odour, it is an excellent option for luthiers and hobbyists working in smaller shops.

This finish has no traditional lacquer-thinner smell, cures in minutes, and sands exceptionally well. The Brush-On formula is designed for easy application using either a brush or a foam pad in thin, even coats.

Simplified Application Method:

A. Optionally begin with ICBNL UV Grain Filler.
1. Apply a thin, even coat with a brush or foam pad.
2. Allow 3–5 minutes for the surface to level.
3. Expose all surfaces to sunlight or 385nm UV light for 2–3 minutes.
4. Level sand with approximately 400-grit sandpaper.
5. Repeat as needed to achieve desired build.
6. Final-sand from 600 to 1200 grit, then buff with Menzerna compounds for a deep gloss.
