Solarez Sprayable I Can't Believe It's Not Lacquer (ICBNL)

Solarez I Can't Believe It's Not Lacquer (ICBNL) is a low VOC, green-technology resin that cures quickly using UV light—either sunlight or artificial UV sources. This non-flammable, low-odour formula is an excellent option for luthiers and hobbyists working in smaller shops. It produces no “lacquer thinner” smell, cures in minutes, and sands remarkably well.

This is the sprayable formula.

Simplified Application Method:

A. Optional: prepare the surface using ICBNL UV Grain Filler.

1. Warm a small quantity of ICBNL Sprayable to approx. 95°F (microwave or hot water bath).

2. Load into spray gun (gravity feed recommended, 1.4 mm nozzle suggested).

3. Wearing proper protection, spray a light, even wet coat. Keep work area protected from UV light during application.

4. Expose all surfaces to sunlight or artificial 385nm UV light for 2–3 minutes.

5. Level sand with ~400 grit if necessary to remove imperfections.

6. Apply additional coats as needed to build surface (3 coats typical).

7. Final level sanding from 600 to 1200 grit, then polish with appropriate Menzerna compounds.
